درمان‌های اصلاحی همجنسگرایان، حاصل سانسور گسترده در آموزش عالی
رها بحرینی، وکیل، همکار، و نویسنده گزارش تحقیقی شش رنگ تحت عنوان:
“Diagnosing Identities, Wounding-Bodies”
با تکیه بر یافته‌های این تحقیق، درباره سانسور گسترده اطلاعات مربوط به گرایش جنسی و هویت جنسیتی (SOGI) در محتوای آموزشی متخصصان بهداشت در ایران صحبت می‌کند و اینکه چگونه این وضعیت به انواع اقدامات شبه‌درمانی آسیب‌رسان و شکنجه‌وار بر روی همجنسگرایان و ترنسجندرها منجر شده است.
این سخنرانی در ۲۴ فوریه ۲۰۱۸ در پنل «آزادی آکادمیک و حق آموزش در ایران» ایران آکادمیا در لاهه، هلند، ارائه شد.

From demonization to medicalization: Gender identity and sexual orientation in the curriculum of health professionals in Iran
In this speech, Raha Bahreini, human rights lawyer, and the author of 6Rang’s research-based report “Diagnosing Identities, Wounding-Bodies,” discusses the extreme censureship of affirmative information materials related to sexual orientation and gender identity in higher education programs such as Psychology and Psychiatry, and how it has concretely resulted in harmful and abusive practices towards the LGBT people in healthcare settings in Iran.
The speech was delivered as part of the panel “Academic Freedom and Right to Education in Iran” held by Iran Academia in Lahey, Netherlands, on 24 February 2018.
